11:00 am-7:00 pm – House of Jade Restaurant and Lounge will be open.

2:00-9:00 pm – Hollingsworth & Whitney Company Store will be open for business.

3:00-6:00 pm – Sherbrooke Village Inn restaurant will be open.

St. Mary’s District Lions Club will be giving out free hot chocolate and gingerbread cookies on opening night!

Street Eats mobile kitchen will be on-site opening night to satisfy your craving for something delicious!

6:00-8:00 pm – Craft Vendors will be open.

6:00-8:00 pm – Sherbrooke Co-operative Art Gallery will be open at the Cook House.

6:30 pm – Opening night ceremonies begin. Christmas Tree Lighting and Candlelight Caroling at Sherbrooke Village. Candles & Glow Sticks available to purchase for $2.

7:00 pm – St. Mary’s Home & School Bake Sale at the Visitor Reception Centre veranda.

7:15 pm – Kidd Brothers Show, Visit from Santa, followed by Fireworks at the Performance Centre.

Activities included in daily admission are: Kris Kringle’s Craft Market, Children’s Petting Zoo, Shop at the Hollingsworth & Whitney Store, Outdoor Activities & Maple Candy Making, Decorated House Tours, Artisan’s Demonstrations, Children’s Christmas Tea and Storytime, Ecumenical Service, Children’s Crafts & Sparkle Tattoos, Ultimate Santa Race, and Closing Parade!

Saturday, November 24, 2018

8:00 am-6:00 pm – Sherbrooke Village Inn restaurant will be open.

 9:30-11:00 am – Breakfast at the Lions Hall hosted by Kirk UCW. $9.

 10:00 am-12:00 pm – Wreath Making. Limit of 10 participants. Bring work gloves and hand clippers. Pre-registration and payment required. Admission + $15.

 10:00 am-12:00 pm – Make 2 festive winter bird-feeders for small birds and woodpeckers. Limit of 12 participants. Bring a hammer and drill if you have it. Pre-registration and payment required. Admission + $20.

 10:00 am-12:00 pm – Fly Tying. Learn to tie flies with some expert fishermen. Limit of 4 participants. Pre-registration and payment required. Admission + $20.

 1:00-3:00 pm – Festive Crazy-Quilted Pot Holder Workshop. Learn everything you need to know to make this rich, jewel-like pot-holder to hang in your kitchen or to give as a gift. Make yours in Christmas colours, or choose a rainbow effect. Kit includes all materials, threads, needles and pins. Participants must bring their own small fabric scissors and embroidery scissors. Limit of 6 participants. Pre-registration and payment required. Admission + $15.

 1:00-4:00 pm – Winter Whimsy Christmas Elf “Wool Felting” Workshop with Deborah Johnson. Limit of 6 participants. All supplies will be provided with the option to purchase mats and needles at the end of the workshop. Fun-filled workshop making a Christmas elf from wool roving. Process involves using sharp barbed needles and your imagination. Not suitable for young children. Ages 12 and over. Pre-registration required. Admission + $35.

 

1:00-4:00 pm – Private House Tour at the home of Bill and Jessie Johnston located at 60 Old Road Hill, Sherbrooke.

2:00-4:00 pm – Ultimate Santa Race. Bring your own team of 4. Must be at least 10 years old. Register at 1 pm at Visitor Reception Centre.

5:00 pm – Closing Parade beginning at Sherbrooke Village parking lot. Fireworks to follow immediately after the parade. Parade Regulations

 6:30-8:00 pm – Victorian Yuletide Feast and Guided Lantern Tour of the Village. You are invited to dress in period costume in the Spirit of 1867 and become a part of the “Sherbrooke Village Story”. Meet at the Visitor Reception Centre (Building #1) between 5:30 and 6:15 to dress up. Sherbrooke Village Restaurant doors open at 6:00 pm for 6:30 pm commencement of festivities. Libations will be served. Ages 19 and over. Tickets $65.

 8:00 pm – Guided Lantern Tour of the Village in the spirit of a Victorian Christmas with refreshments and vignettes. Meet in front of Sherbrooke Village Restaurant/What Cheer Tea Room. Tickets $15.  

 9:00 pm-1:00 am – Dance at the Lion’s Hall. Barrett’s Privateers DJ. Must be 19 years of age or over. $10.
