Opening Night! - Free Admission

Friday, November 22nd, 2019

All events on Opening Night are free! Donations appreciated.

4:00-9:00 pm – Village Treasures and Gifts will be open for business.

6:00-8:00 pm – Craft Vendors will be open.

4:00-9:00 pm – Sherbrooke Co-operative Art Gallery will be open at the Cook House.

6:30 pm – Opening night ceremonies begin. Christmas Tree Lighting and  Caroling at Sherbrooke Village.

7:15 pm – Kidd Brothers Show, Visit from Santa, followed by Fireworks at the Performance Centre.

St. Mary’s District Lions Club will be giving out free hot chocolate and gingerbread cookies on opening night!

4:00pm  – 9:00 pm- The Saucy Sandwich food truck will be on-site.  Serving gourmet sandwiches, hot dogs, homemade soup, specialty coffee, tea, cider & desserts.

Keith Jordan Memorial Hockey Tournament starts at 8pm at the Recplex.

Beanie’s Bistro will be open until the fireworks begin.

11:00 am-6:00 pm – House of Jade Restaurant and Lounge will be open.

4:00 pm – 8:00 pm – Liscomb Lodge will be open for dinner.

12:00 pm-7:00 pm – Sherbrooke Village Inn restaurant will be open. Serving a hot turkey dinner in addition to regular menu selections.

Visit Sherbrooke Village for Old Fashioned Christmas festivities for one great price of *$5/day for adults and seniors. Children 16 and under – Free! 

Activities included in daily admission are: Kris Kringle’s Craft Market, Shop at the Village Treasures and Gifts, Outdoor Activities, Decorated House Tours, Artisan’s Demonstrations, Children’s Christmas Tea and Storytime, Ecumenical Service, Children’s Crafts, Amazing Santa Race, and Closing Parade!

Saturday, November 23, 2019

9:30-11:00 am – Breakfast at the Lions Hall hosted by Kirk UCW.

 10:00 am-12:00 pm – Wreath Making. Limit of 10 participants. Bring work gloves and hand clippers. Pre-registration and payment required. $20 (includes admission).

 10:00 am-12:00 pm – Make 2 festive winter bird-feeders for small birds and woodpeckers. Limit of 12 participants. Bring a hammer and drill if you have it. Pre-registration and payment required.  $25 (includes admission).

10:00 am- 2:00 pm. Get your glitter on as we build and decorate this adorable little house that you can light with your own battery-operated tea light or string of lights. Precut kit, glue, paint, and your choice of decorations included.  Limit of 6 participants.  Pre-registration and payment required.  $30 (includes admission).

5:00 pm – Closing Parade beginning at Sherbrooke Village parking lot. Fireworks to follow immediately after the parade. Parade Regulations

 6:30-8:00 pm – Victorian Yuletide Feast and Guided Lantern Tour of the Village. You are invited to dress in period costume in the Spirit of 1867 and become a part of the “Sherbrooke Village Story”. Meet at the Visitor Reception Centre (Building #1) between 5:30 and 6:15 to dress up. Sherbrooke Village Restaurant doors open at 6:00 pm for 6:30 pm commencement of festivities. Libations will be served. Ages 19 and over. Tickets $75.

 8:00 pm – Guided Lantern Tour of the Village in the spirit of a Victorian Christmas with refreshments and vignettes. Meet in front of Sherbrooke Village Restaurant/What Cheer Tea Room. Tickets $15.  

9:00 pm-1:00 am – House League Hockey dance at the Lion’s Hall. Music by DJ. Must be 19 years of age or over. $10 at the door.
